Birds are normally associated with symbols of freedom.  Playing with an ethnic-boho chic style, completing and highlighting any outfit, even the most basic ones.

These earrings are handmade using the "Totumo" fruit by the Mokaná people in the Atlántico department of Colombia near the Caribbean Sea.

The hands of our master craftsmen transform the natural fiber through cutting, sanding, engraving, texturing, dyeing and sealing, achieving a natural finish.

The cover of the totumo is strong and fibrous, which allows for ease of cutting and carving these spectacular designs.  Painted with translucent inks and decorated with acrylic stones, making a beautiful piece of natural handmade jewelry, all done with lots of love.

  • Handmade in Colombia
  • Totumo fruit and 925 Sterling Silver
  • 3.75"-inch drop

Shipping is FREE on all orders over $100 within the United States.

All orders under $100 have a flat rate of $3.95 within the United States.

Free shipping is offered on international orders that are over $300.

Our flat rate international shipping rate is $19.99.

about us

Straccio Rico works alongside over 8 families, 100+ Wayuu artisans, who reside in the La Guajira peninsula, a desert area in the northeast of Colombia. The Wayuu are known for their beautiful hand-woven "Wayuu mochila" bags.

I love all the bags I purchased, mostly gifts for family and of course myself! The daughter and young grandmother team are awesome with their services. Helped with selections as well.

I love Straccio Rico! I have two of their amazing Wayuu Mochila bags. Not only are they beautiful, well-made, and unique but I love that they benefit the craftswomen who make them. I totally embrace this local, women-owned, multi-generational entrepreneurial business, whose core mission is to help women in developing countries develop cottage businesses of their own.

Beautiful, unique bags of the highest quality! Love the owners as well. Please stop by and check them out. Update: I now have 3 bags and a dress. I’m hooked!
