This technique has been traditional for decades, in southern Boyacá, a region of Colombia, South America. This technique of horsehair weaving has passed through several generations. The women behind this craft also work in the fields. Unfortunately, it is a craft that is being lost. There are very few women who continue to work this craft. The truth is the new generations do not want to do it. Our goal is to help support these women with work by placing repeated orders, so they see the potential and financial help in this trade. We want them to continue weaving these amazing pieces of art and not let their traditions die.
